Lake Health: discussion and plan for Invasive species on Breakfast Lake.

Mark Sandstrom will be doing water quality for George Lake. Mary and Kerry Sorensen will be doing water quality on Breakfast Lake. The grants for Breakfast, George and Island Lake all require volunteer hours. Information about volunteering will be on the PPOA website. (potawatomipropertyowners.com). They will also be posted in the informational kiosk at the entrance to the Island.  AIS does have a 2nd BASS boat now, but it probably will not be used on Breakfast Lake this year. Shaun is hoping that because Breakfast Lake is small that it will possibly be a candidate for chemical shocking.

AIS is sponsoring Shoreline Monitor Training at Tomahawk Lake 0n 6/11 at 10 am. The training will include plant ID and how to pull invasive weeds. Attendance at this will count for volunteer hours.

There have been beavers spotted on Island and Turtle Lake.

Common Facilities: The Wanigan was opened on May 16. Already toilet paper is missing.  There are campers this week-end and everything looks good. Shawn is looking into a cellular camera for the campground.

Devon The tree guy will be cutting the large pine by the Lodge on Tues. July 7. Ed and Rick will be removing the fence. The cost will be $1500. The whole Island will be closed from approximately 9-2. There will be signs posted. Shaun will notify the residents.

Rick is placing 2 tick signs at the campground.

Rick had the water on the Island checked by Kinetico. A non-electric system to correct the water will be $7,000. Chrissy said if you go non-electric iron bacteria will be a problem and you will have to chlorinate the water.

Shaun changes the Smokey the Bear sign. Bob will get a key so he can help.

Garbage will be collected every other week.

Administrator report, website, rentals. Chrissy and Dennis made a weekly, mothly and seasonal checklist.

The rentals are going well. Shaun thanked Chrissy and Rick.

There is a $20 fee to dump sewage for a camper on a PPOA members property. You can email contactus@potawatomipropertyowners.com or call 715-869-6200 to arrange this.

Chrissy will check will the website administrator to see why she can not send to a GMail account from PPOA.

The garbage can at the campground has to be reworked so garbage does not miss the cans.

Rick is wondering if you can use Menard’s type fire extinguishers or do we have to use them from a company like Fire X. The insurance agent should know.

Financial: There are $6005.07 of outstanding assessments. Rick will send out reminder letters for 24,25 and 26. When 4 years late they will go to collections.

As of May 25th the checking account balance is $37994.40. The savings account balance is $104,582. The net income as of May 25 is $21,982.89 vs last year $18,434.29.

Firewise:  Chipping will be June 8. Rick would like a map of where they chipped. Shaun will look into a community event in July.

The next meeting will be June 26 at 10 am at the Wanigan.

Adjournent: motion to adjourn Chrissy/Nancy meeting adjourned at 12:54
