Meeting minutes-May 15, 2021
Call to Order
A meeting of the Potawatomi Property Owners Association (PPOA) Board of Directors (BoD) was called to order by Rob Lynch at 10:00 a.m. in the Wanigan Boardroom. This meeting was recorded and minutes were taken. No guests were present.
Board members attending were Rob Lynch, Rick Tello, and Michelle Boheim. Joe Girten was absent. A quorum was present.
WiFi is now live in the Wanigan. There are two networks; one for staff and one for guests. The current password is posted in Wanigan and will be changed periodically for security purposes.
A TV has been placed in Wanigan Boardroom to be used as a display monitor for PPOA business only at this time.
Our office printer is now live for PPOA business only and is in the PPOA office.
We continually get correspondence and it has been placed in the book in the PPOA office for board directors to review.
Approval of the Agenda
Rick motioned to approve the agenda. Michelle seconded. All ayes. Motion carries.
Approval of Minutes from April 17, 2021 Zoom Meeting
Michelle motioned to approve the minutes. Rick seconded. All ayes. Motion carries.
Membership Comment Period
No PPOA Members present.
Income and Expense report is online. Two more donations have been received. Donation total was previously incorrect. It should be $1073.16.
Rob reminded we are going down two tracks with financials, as Rick has been doing the bookkeeping the old way and on QuickBooks. July 1st is start of third quarter and middle of fiscal year and a good place to switch to QuickBooks only for Income and Expenses.
Michelle motioned to accept the Treasurer’s report. Rob seconded. All ayes. Motion carries.
We will be using Grasshopper (Virtual Phone System). Members and guests can call the Rental hotline # 715-869-6200 (this number is at the bottom of rental sheets in each cabin). Callers can leave a message. The voice message is transcribed into an email and sent to Rob/Rick. If he
goes out of town we will switch to Rob. Discussed the possible future use of this phone number for our PPOA office.
Campground building-Rick is having trouble connecting with the plumber. It was supposed to be done 2 weeks ago. It’s been a challenge getting a plumber because they are all very busy.
Discussed priorities of cabin cleaning, housekeeper position, as well as upcoming chipping.
Campground road-We discussed this large expense and agreed the Board of Directors will discuss by email before any final decisions are made.
Parking permits 2021-2023 are available in the PPOA office. We will distribute as requested.

Michelle motioned to move into Executive Session. Rick seconded. All ayes. Motion carries.
Michelle motioned to move out of Executive Session and back into regular session. Rick seconded. All ayes. Motion carries.
Board moved back into regular session at 10:55 a.m.
We discussed Island Causeway. Rob contacted Town of Barnes Town Clerk, Foreman, and Chairman. According to the Town of Barnes, this is a private road, not a Town of Barnes road. Rob contacted Bayfield County Division of Land Records. Property owners that use this private road for access to their property are responsible for maintenance of that road.
A) We have to determine who owns it,
B) Based on who owns—need to get it fixed
C) Future of road
